Structured IT security analysis for a German consulting firm
Sheriff Security GmbH supported bAV Innovationspartner - a consulting firm specialising in occupational pension schemes - with a professional review of its external IT security structure.
The company advises clients in the finance and pension sector and places great value on data protection, reliability and sustainable structures.
Against this background, the management decided on an independent security analysis - not because of an acute incident, but out of entrepreneurial responsibility.
Objective of the collaboration
The focus was a structured assessment of the publicly reachable IT infrastructure, in order to:
- gain transparency about the company’s own security structure
- identify potential for improvement at an early stage
- strengthen the foundation for sustainable IT security
The analysis was carried out professionally, non-invasively and without affecting ongoing business operations.
Result
The collaboration produced a clear, prioritised assessment of the security situation.
Targeted, pragmatic measures systematically strengthened the existing security baseline - without complex restructuring or cost-intensive large-scale projects.
For small and mid-sized companies in particular, this project shows that professional cybersecurity does not necessarily require oversized implementations. What matters is transparency, structure and realistic prioritisation.
Statement
It was important to us to have our security structure assessed transparently, without unnecessary complexity. The structured and pragmatic approach convinced us.
